The course itself

When was the last time you played? No, seriously!
10 years ago? More? One fundamental piece to inner child healing is play- and we’re going to teach you about a very unique way!

Nearly half of the adults in the US have at least one kinky fantasy. As therapists, we can harness the therapeutic use of playful kink to support our clients in self-attunement, sensory joy, self-advocacy, and healing attachment trauma.

This workshop will cover the current research, ethical best practices, and consent and boundaries skills. You will leave with actionable kink activities to better serve our clients. So come join Dr. Kade Sharp and Sabrina Longley LCSW, for play time.

In one and a half hours, we'll cover:
  • Common core wounds for the inner child - and how to heal!
  • Ethical considerations
  • What you need to know about intersectionality
  • Over 11 activities to increase clients' connection
  • And so much more!

✨ Special focus given to a-spec & autistic clients.

Bonus content includes:
📘 1 page PDF handout with resources
📖 2 page PDF Brief Sensation to Kink Flowchart
🎧 Access to Aces Up Your Sleeve podcast Patreon's Flush tier for 1 month

The content is applicable to both session formats.

Do I need to have knowledge about kink or BDSM to attend?

No! This is a beginner's course, so no prior knowledge or experience is needed.

Will this help clients who aren't already kinky?

We think so! The core concepts we discuss can be used outside of a kink context or without framing it as kink, if needed. (Exploring kink and destigmatizing it often helps clients reduce shame in other areas, though.)
